Valley high school wins tech-loaded car

PHOENIX — A new set of wheels will soon be producing professional-grade shows at a Peoria high school after it won a nationwide contest.
According to the Peoria Times, Centennial High School’s video and essay submissions were selected as the best overall in the NewTek Smartcar HD mobile production vehicle contest.
The grand prize includes a 2010 Smartcar equipped with high-tech equipment the students plan to use to cover district sporting events.
The car is equipped with loads of technology that will allow the students to produce professional sports shows.
The students, part of the Peoria Student Broadcasting Network (PSBN), originally submitted essays into the contest in December. After being named a finalist, they were asked to show why their school was the best in a video. That can be seen below.
