1 person shot in confrontation with Glendale police

PHOENIX — One person was shot and seriously wounded Thursday morning in a confrontation with police in Glendale.

The incident took place in a parking lot near 59th Avenue and Thunderbird Road.

The injured and unidentified suspect was taken to a local hospital.
