PRESCOTT, Ariz. — A former Phoenix police officer has pleaded guilty to
disorderly contact, a charge, stemming from a Prescott bar fight that left a man

Superior Court as part of an agreement with prosecutors. He was ordered to pay a
$350 fine and to have no contact with the victim, Justin Stafford.

A state Department of Public Safety investigation identified Amato as one of
two members of a law enforcement motorcycle club who was involved physically in
Amato had told authorities that he believed Stafford made an aggressive move
and was going to hit him.
