Viral video coins new term – Instagram husbands

A video surfacing on the web this week has created a new term for the spouses of the social media obsessed: Instagram husbands.
The video features men giving “intervention”-esque testimonials on what it’s like being married to someone who is consumed with posting perfect shots on Instagram. It pokes fun at trends on the social media staple like arranging items on the floor or taking pictures of your food.
“Behind every cute girl on Instagram is a guy like me, and a brick wall,” the video opens as a woman poses in front of a brick wall as her husband snaps numerous pictures on his phone.
The comedy group behind the video, The Mystery Hour, also created a website, jokingly informing visitors of symptoms of being an Instagram husband and tips on approaching your wife:
4. Speak in words she will understand, “Honey, I feel like I’m living my life in Willow, and I want it to be Lo-Fi.” You don’t have to know what that means, she will.
The video, posted on Tuesday, has already garnered over 3 million views on YouTube.
