Police activity shuts down I-10 lanes in Goodyear

PHOENIX — Interstate 10 near State Route 303 in Goodyear was closed Tuesday evening for about an hour due to police activity.
Arizona Department of Public Safety officers were on the scene where there was a possible suicidal suspect on the I-10 overpass.
DPS originally closed down only the eastbound lanes, but later shut down both directions before reopening them just after 7 p.m.
The Arizona Department of Transportation recommended that drivers take an alternate route or wait until later to travel through the area due to traffic delays.
Eastbound drivers should consider taking State Route 85 south to Interstate 8 east to the I-10 west.
