PHOENIX — Arizona drivers are now able to donate money to schools when they get a new license plate.
The Extraordinary Educators plate comes with a dark-green background, featuring a red apple and will help provide mini-grants for kindergarten through eighth grade teachers who come up with unique projects for their students.
“The plate costs $25, and $17 will go to the Extraordinary Educators fund,” said Harold Sanders with the Arizona Department of Transportation. “You can get a plate personalized for an additional $25.”
You can order the plates online at ServiceArizona.com or at any ADOT MVD office. They will be mailed out in about 5 to 10 days.
