PHOENIX — If a certain feline really knows football, then University of Central Florida fans have a trophy to look forward to on New Year’s Day in the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl.
Hadiah, a Sumatran tiger at the Phoenix Zoo, has been predicting bowl games with impressive accuracy.
“She was 2-and-0 last year and recently [correctly] predicted Kansas State would win the Buffalo Wild Wings bowl,” said zoo spokesman Joseph Becker.
Zoo keepers will hide tasty tiger treats in two marked boxes, and the fate of the bowl game is determined by which box the killer cat pounces on first.
This year, Baylor University fans better hope the cat’s killer instincts are off.
