TUCSON, Ariz. — Authorities say a Tucson man is in custody for allegedly
trying to lure a young girl into having sex with him.
Tucson police announced Thursday that 34-year-old Michael Scott Sanders has
been booked into Pima County jail.
He’s being held on $7,500 bond on suspicion of one count each of luring a minor
for sexual exploitation and attempted sexual contact with a minor.
After investigators identified Sanders, they made arrangements to meet with
Police said Sanders thought he was meeting an underage girl.
It wasn’t immediately clear Thursday if Sanders has a lawyer yet.
The Arizona Daily Star reports that Sanders was found guilty in Tucson City
Court of criminal damage in 1999 and found guilty of false reporting of an
emergency in 2002.
