PHOENIX — Medical examiners say a 2-year-old girl who died last December
after being at a Phoenix day care home had a high level of methamphetamine in
The final medical report released Thursday listed Savannah Cross’ death as
being caused by multiple traumatic injuries, acute methamphetamine exposure and
Authorities say 27-year-old Ryan Alan Reed was re-arrested in November after
new forensic details showed he allegedly molested the girl.
Reed and a 28-year-old woman ran the home day care.
Authorities say Savannah was placed in the day care for weeks and months at a
time by her mother, who was an erotic dancer.
Savannah was taken to a Phoenix hospital, where she later died.
During an examination at the hospital, authorities say physicians found bruises
all over the girl’s body.
