Arizona authorities catch suspects after chase

CASA GRANDE, Ariz. — Two men are in custody following a high-speed chase
in Pinal County.

Sheriff’s spokesman Tim Gaffney says it started Sunday after officers got a
call about people loading bundles of marijuana into a vehicle near Interstate 8.

The vehicle sped away after being spotted by a deputy. The pursuit hit speeds
in excess of 100 mph.

The car eventually stopped. Gaffney says the driver, 25-year-old Ruben
Soto-Gonzalez, ran through a nearby dairy farm and was tripped by a farm worker,
causing him to fall face down in manure and to be stepped on by a startled cow.

The suspect hit the worker before being taken into custody.
