Faith in Humanity: Valley group gets homeless families back on their feet

A charity-owned facility in the Phoenix area is helping people who used to be or are homeless get back on their feet.
The House of Refuge, near Power and Williams Field roads in Mesa, sits on 20 acres and offers 82 two-bedroom single family homes for people to stay in while the transition away from homelessness.
Since being founded in 1996, House of Refuge has helped about 2,400 families turn things around.
One of the largest transitional housing facilities in Arizona, House of Refuge typically has up to 100 adults and 150 children staying there at any given time.
In addition to housing, the faith-based nonprofit provides social services and work programs.
House of Refuge accepts donations online.
