PHOENIX — A new sentencing date has been set for a man who was
convicted in federal court of being a felon in possession of guns and
Iraqi-born Abdullatif Ali Aldosary is set to be sentenced Feb. 24 for
the firearms convictions.
He faces up to 10 years in prison for each of the three counts.
Aldosary is also charged in state court with detonating a homemade explosive device
outside an Arizona Social Security building in November 2012. No one was
Federal authorities said Aldosary had a previous felony conviction and therefore
wasn’t allowed to own firearms or ammunition.
The federal firearms charges stemmed from evidence collected during searches of
his home after the explosive was detonated.
