PHOENIX — Dozens of locations around Arizona will offer free memory screenings Tuesday as part of National Memory Screening Day.
“Screenings are important if someone has concerns about their memory, there’s a family history of Alzheimer’s disease or they want to check where their memory is now and for future comparison,” said Carol Steinburg with the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
The free screenings will not provide a diagnosis, but are a first step in being proactive about health. If there is a medical problem, early detection could make a world of difference when it comes to treatment options.
