Coolidge man convicted in 2 sexual assault cases

FLORENCE, Ariz. — A Coolidge man accused of sexually assaulting two people
earlier this year has been convicted in the case.

Pinal County prosecutors said Friday that 23-year-old Dakota Williams was found
guilty on four counts of sexual assault, one count of sexual abuse, one count of
unlawful imprisonment and one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

He was scheduled to be sentenced Dec. 16 and prosecutors said Williams is facing
up to 34 years in prison.

Williams was arrested in March.

Prosecutors said he sexually assaulted a transvestite in Coolidge on Jan. 27 and
a woman in Casa Grande on Feb. 17.

They said Williams picked the both victims, drove to a remote location and
sexually assaulted them.

Williams also was accused of threatening the transvestite with a knife.
