TUCSON, Ariz. — A Nevada man has been convicted by a federal jury in
Tucson in a sex case involving an underage girl.
Prosecutors announced Thursday that 39-year-old Keith Deshawn Anderson, of Las
Vegas, was found guilty on four counts of transportation of a minor with intent
to engage in criminal sexual activity.
Prosecutors say the evidence at trial showed Anderson transported a juvenile
girl multiple times from Arizona to Nevada and engaged in statutory rape in 2011
Anderson is being held for sentencing, which is scheduled for Jan. 21.
Prosecutors say a conviction for transportation of a minor with intent to
engage in criminal sexual activity carries a minimum mandatory term of 10 years
in prison up to a life prison term.
