Fire ruins empty suburban Phoenix house

PHOENIX — Fire investigators are looking into the cause of a fire that destroyed an empty house in a southwest Phoenix suburb.

Officials said the cause of the late Monday night fire was suspicious. Crews were able to contain the blaze to the home near 59th and Southern avenues in Laveen.
