Life is art: Scottsdale gallery hosts ‘hidden realism’ exhibit debut

PHOENIX — Contemporary artist Kevork Cholakian, whose still lifes are noted for their colorful realism, will unveil his latest exhibit in Scottsdale on Wednesday.
Cholakian, who is based in Los Angeles, will be on hand for the opening reception at Gallery J2, near Scottsdale Road and Shea Boulevard. The reception for “Look Closer” is scheduled from 6 to 9 p.m.
Some of the pieces on display will be featured in the November issue of American Art Collector magazine.
