Faith in Humanity: Alaska toddler starts donation drive to clothe, shelter homeless

After learning about what homeless people in his community have to deal with everyday, a 3-year-old boy decided to help them out by starting a donation drive.
Patrick McClung from Anchorage, Alaska was moved to tears after his mother Destinee explained to him that some people do not have homes and have to sleep in less-than-favorable conditions, according to the Huffington Post.
Patrick decided to do something to help the homeless and started his very own donation drive to collect socks, blankets and other warm items. He has even sold his own toys in order to help those in need.
McClung said her son has always been one to lend a helping hand, so she was not surprised when he said he wanted to help the homeless.
“Patrick has always been a very giving person and for over a year has wanted to be Santa when he grows up,” she told ABC News. “He has done more for the homeless community in less than a month than I’ve done in my entire life.”
