Tempe police search for armed robbery suspect

PHOENIX — Tempe police were searching for a man suspected of robbing a bank Tuesday morning and getting away on a motorcycle.

Suspect Description: Male, unknown race, 6'0-6'2" , wearing grn army type jacket, dark pants, & motorcycle helmet (red/wht/silver), gloves

Police said the suspect was armed but that no one was injured in the holdup at the Arizona Central Credit Union branch officer near Price Road and Southern Avenue.
Schools in the area were locked down but it was lifted before 10 a.m. Curry and Ward elementary schools are nearby.
Anyone with info or who saw anything is asked to contact Tempe Police at 480-350-8311 or 911 if you see suspect.
