PRESCOTT, Ariz. — A jury in Prescott has reached a verdict in a
stockbroker’s murder trial, but it won’t be read until Friday morning.
The Yavapai County Superior Court jury had been deliberating since Tuesday in
the trial of Steven DeMocker.
They reached a verdict in the case Thursday. Court officials say it will be
read at 9 a.m. Friday.

because he was deep in debt, wanted the insurance payment and didn’t want to pay
Prosecutors don’t have any direct evidence linking DeMocker to the 2008 death
of Carolyn Kennedy, but they said circumstantial evidence tied him to it.
