Man run over, killed by car in Chandler

A man trying to cross a Chandler street Friday night was killed by an oncoming vehicle, according to an ABC 15 report.
Chandler police said the man was attempting to cross Arizona Avenue, between Pecos Rd. and Chandler Blvd., but was struck by a car. He died on the scene, police said, adding that he was also not using a crosswalk at the time of the accident.
The operator of the vehicle is cooperating with police, who do not believe alcohol to be a factor in the crash.
Identities of those involved in the incident are not yet known.
