PHOENIX — A seven-year-old boy is in the hospital in critical condition after being hit by a car while he was riding his bike.
The boy was struck by a van while he was trying to cross 16th Street at Highland Avenue about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. The 30-year-old driver was traveling on a green light, but police said they are awaiting the results of a sobriety test, which was administered after obtaining a warrant.
