Groundbreaking held for Navajo Route 20 paving project

At the Tsinaabaas Habitiin Elementary School in Bodaway-Gap Sunday morning, the Navajo Division of Transportation and Arizona Department of Transportation officially broke ground on a paving project for Navajo Route 20 at a ceremony.

The project, which is estimated to cost $35 million, will pave a 28-mile portion of dirt road, which travels from Bodaway-Gap north through Coppermine and ends in LeChee.

ADOT officially began N20 construction on May 28. It’s expected to be completed in mid-August.
