PHOENIX — A man accused of stalking residents of a Phoenix home and
setting fire to a car has been sentenced to nearly nine years in prison.
Maricopa County prosecutors say 35-year-old Gregg Pfeifer also was sentenced
Friday to lifetime probation.
Authorities say Pfeifer began stalking and harassing his ex-girlfriend and her
family at their home in July.
The victims then filed a restraining order against Pfeifer.
Police say Pfeifer later harassed the victims through numerous phone calls,
text messages, emails and driving by their home.
On Dec. 27, police say Pfeifer allegedly put a bottle of gasoline on the hood
of the car of his ex-girlfriend’s boyfriend. The car was parked a few feet from
the family’s house.
