PHOENIX — Anyone with expired prescription medicines can turn them over to the Drug Enforcement Administration this weekend at a take-back event.
“Prescription drug abuse is our nation’s fastest growing drug problem,” said DEA Special Agent Ramona Sanchez. “Our residents can be part of the solution by ridding their homes of unwanted and expired prescription drugs.”
Sanchez said Arizonans can get rid of unwanted medicines Saturday during the prescription drug take-back day.
“We will have over 95 collection sites throughout Arizona from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.,” she said.
