PHOENIX — An officer-involved shooting in a Phoenix neighborhood is being investigated Friday morning.
No one was injured in the shooting near 35th Avenue and Camelback Road, said Sgt. Tommy Thompson.
The incident began when police pulled over a car about 1:30 a.m. As officers approached on foot, the driver started ramming nearby vehicles, including the police car. An officer shot at the car.
The driver, a man in his 20s, sped away but only managed to get as far as the next block before slamming into a carport. He is in custody.
