PHOENIX — Arizona Sen. Don Shooter says he should have been more patient
and waited to meet with school officials instead of barging into his grandson’s
classroom and verbally threatening his teacher.
Shooter said in a statement Friday that the teacher had created a hostile
environment after she refused to let his grandson go to the bathroom when he was
sick and called him “retarded.”
Yuma police say Shooter went to the school on March 22 and is being
investigated on potential charges of assault, trespassing and disrupting a
