Survey shows more Latino voters favor gay marriage

A recent poll showed that a higher percentage of Hispanics believe gay and lesbian marriage should be legalized.

According to NBC News, 49 percent believe gay and lesbian couples should be allowed to marry. The survey tallied 300 Latino voters.

Considering these results, this could have a direct impact on the future of this controversial issue in the U.S.

Views on gay marriage have evolved rapidly since 2004, but not among Hispanics. All respondents said they supported same-sex marriage by a 53 percent to 42 percent margin, a 43-point turnabout from 2004 and up 2 points from this past December.
