Phoenix named a top city for pizza nationally

Forget chimichangas, apparently Phoenix is known for its pizza.
A report put together by TripAdvisor placed Phoenix in their “Top 10 U.S. Pizza Cities” at No. 9.
The list was compiled by determining the ratio of pizza restaurants and reviews to all restaurants in town. Pizza joints specifically mentioned on the TripAdvisor report as “must-try” were Pizzeria Bianco, Pomo Pizzeria Napoletana – Phoenix and The Parlor Pizzeria.
The site also put together a list of the best pizza places in the country — sadly no joint in Phoenix made that list. To qualify for a great pizza spot, restaurants had to have a minimum of 500 reviews, and at least 10 percent of reviews mentioning “best pizza” on TripAdvisor.
Surprise, surprise — Chicago and New York were Nos. 1 and 2 respectively.
