New login uses thought instead of passwords

Why type a password when you can think it? With a new gadget from Google, you just may be able to.

According to, Google is testing an EEG authenticator with its new Google Glass.

The EEG authenticator would let someone thinking of their favorite song, athletic stance or any sort of thought to unlock their device.

Out of a group of 1,050 brainwave samples, experimenters were able to match brainwaves with the thoughts of the correct person 99 percent of the time, showing its reliability.

The next step in the testing process is to see if someone could think the same thing as you to unlock your device.
