PEORIA, Ariz. — Investigators say a fire at a Peoria strip mall now is an
arson case and three gasoline cans found at the scene are being treated as
Authorities say the fire was reported about 11 p.m. Tuesday and it took more
than 20 units from six cities to extinguish the blaze.

No injuries were reported, but investigators quickly classified the fire as
suspicious and say the gasoline canisters were left in the parking lot.
Phoenix TV station KTVK reports federal authorities were at the scene Wednesday
to assist in the investigation.
