PHOENIX — A Phoenix man accused of first-degree murder and selling marijuana in a drug deal that turned deadly has pleaded not guilty.
Maricopa County prosecutors said 29-year-old Daniel Albert Alvarado entered his

Authorities said Alvarado and another man went to a Phoenix home planning to
sell up to 15 pounds of marijuana on June 2, 2012.
They met with three men to discuss the drug deal when the other men pulled out
handguns and fired at Alvarado and his partner.
Alvarado ran from the home and wasn’t injured, but his partner later died from
