PHOENIX — The Arizona Cardinals are teaming with St. Mary’s Food Bank to help feed the hungry around the Valley.
The Cardinals kicked off the drive with St. Mary’s Tuesday at the food bank’s distribution center in Phoenix.
Those who attend the Cardinals’ Monday Night Football Game on Oct. 26 against the Baltimore Ravens are asked to bring canned food items or cash donations. They will be used to help St. Mary’s food bank put meals on the table for those less fortunate during the holiday season.
Cardinals backup quarterback Drew Stanton said he hopes fans will come out and support the hungry around the Valley.
“Anytime you’re in a large area — like we are in — this type of a city, there’s going to be need,” he said. “Any mouth we can feed, you’re going to be better off for it.”
The Cardinals are scheduled to begin Monday’s game at 5:30 p.m. at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale.
