Commuting in Arizona faster than average

New data states that Arizona workers have a shorter commute time than average nationwide.
According to Phoenix Business Journal, 6 percent of the state’s workers took 60 minutes or longer to commute. Nationwide about 8 percent of the country’s work commuters took this long.
The Census Bureau reported that 23 percent of workers with long commutes took public transit.
“The average travel time for workers who commute by public transportation is higher than that of workers who use other modes. For some workers, using transit is a necessity, but others simply choose a longer travel time over sitting in traffic,” said Brian McKenzie, a Census Bureau statistician.
According to US News there are some workers who have no commute time. In Prescott, Ariz. 7.6 percent of people work from home.
