Arizona average gasoline prices reach 5-month high

PHOENIX — Gasoline prices for Arizona have hit a five-month high.

Officials with Triple-A Arizona said Thursday that the average statewide price
for unleaded regular gasoline is $3.74 a gallon. That’s more than 11 cents
higher than last week and a rise of 56 cents since January.

This week’s national average is $3.78 per gallon, up by less than a penny from
last week.

Triple-A analysts say refinery maintenance and the higher cost of crude oil
have kept gasoline prices high so far this year.

Tucson has the lowest average gasoline price in Arizona at $3.53 a gallon while
Yuma has the highest at $3.86.

Wyoming has the lowest average gas prices in the continental U.S. at $3.28 a
gallon with California having the highest at $4.23 a gallon.
