Fire burns storage buildings in Tucson

TUCSON, Ariz. — Tucson firefighters early Thursday morning battled a fire
that ultimately destroyed two storage buildings on the city’s south side.

One building was fully engulfed when the first unit arrived and the fire at
that time was already spreading to the second building.

A Fire Department spokesman said a downed power line hampered firefighters as
they fought to keep the fire from spreading further.

Occupants of a mobile home threatened by the fire were able to get out safely.
It wasn’t damaged but two vehicles close to the storage buildings were damaged
by the fire.

A total of nine units and 23 firefighters responded to the fire. Its cause
remains under investigation and so far there’s no estimate of the cost of
