Business travel expenses to increase this year

Businesses will face a slight increase in travel prices for employees.
Phoenix Business Journal reports that domestic economy travel to rise by 4.6 percent to $492 per trip and international trips will increase by 8 percent to $1,318.
“Travel prices will be rising across the board, with international price growth especially robust as companies look abroad for opportunities,” Joseph Bates, [Global Business Travel Association] cice president of research, said.
Also expected to rise are domestic hotels by 3.7 percent to $167 a night and international hotels by 8 percent to $297 a night.
