Report: US Airways, American Airlines agree to merger

After weeks of talks, American Airlines and US Airways are reportedly agreed on a tentative deal that would merge the two companies into one, possibly creating the largest airline in the world.
According to Phoenix Business Journal American Airline’s board could soon vote to merge with US Airways.
If the merger is approved, changes would take affect immediately following the the voting action.
This merger would make US Airlines CEO Doug Parker CEO of an $11 billion company based in Fort Worth, Texas.
