Reporter caught in middle of Christopher Dorner firefight

In this Monday, Jan. 16, 2017 photo, men buy hot corn from a street vendor at the side of a dark road during a power cut in Gaza City. At night, large swaths of the Gaza Strip plunge into darkness _ the result of chronic and worsening power outages. In crowded city streets, the only source of light comes from the headlights of passing cars. The power shortages are the worst to hit Gaza since Hamas seized control of the territory 10 years ago. Sometimes reporters have to go to the news, sometimes it comes to them.

During coverage of the Christopher Dorner shootout with police, reporter Carter Evans gets caught in the middle of the firefight. He tells an anchor he is lying behind a vehicle before shots erupt.
