‘Tonight Show’ learns New York Comic Con fans need to catch up on pop culture

It looks as if some New York Comic Con fans need to brush up on their pop culture after failing Jimmy Fallon’s recent Pop Quiz: New York Comic Con Edition.
When the “Tonight Show” asked conventioneers to name three Kardashian sisters, a man dressed in a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle costume said, “Uh, Kim. Uh, Khloe. Uh, Kanye.” Not quite, Turtle Guy, but kudos for this specific ignorance.
Completing Top 40 song lyrics doesn’t seem like a Comic Con attendee strong suit, as almost all of quiz participants in the video couldn’t complete the lyrics to the summer hit, “Cheerleader,” by OMI, The Weeknd’s “Can’t Feel My Face” or Silento’s viral dance hit “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae).”
A solar-system-clad attendee seems to think the Fox drama “Empire” is about carpet.
However, there are questions Comic Con goers are all too able to answer. A man wearing a Superman costume quickly rattles off answers to complex questions about Wolverine.
Saving the day, however, is R2-D2, as it correctly “beeps” the lyrics to “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae).”
