Since the 2012 election, Arizona voter registration has increased by three percent.
According to Arizona Secretary of State Ken Bennett, the 2012 election caused the increase in registered voters. There are now 3,221,133 people registered to vote in Arizona.
Of the voters in Arizona, 1,147,543 are republicans and 1,062,856 democrats, 23,412 libertarians and 5,066 green Party voters, while the remaining numbers fall under the categories of independent parties or non-designated party preference.
“The right to vote is one of the most cherished rights that we have as citizens,” Bennett said.
