PHOENIX — A residential fire killed three people early Sunday morning in Phoenix.
Crews arrived at a home near 15th Avenue and Pima Road around 3 a.m. Sunday to find the house fully engulfed in flames.
“They made an aggressive attack to get the fire knocked down as quickly as possible,” said Capt. Scott McDonald of the Phoenix Fire Department. “Unfortunately, these people were not able to make it out on their own.”
McDonald said one woman was being treated for smoke inhalation and burns. Arson and homicide investigators are currently on the scene.
