Ex-ASU assistant professor arrested for threats on Liberty Bell

A former assistant professor at Arizona State University has been charged with making threats on the Liberty Bell.
According to news reports, Carlos Balsas, 41, of Tempe was charged with threatening to blow up one of the most iconic pieces of American history over the weekend in Philadelphia.
Among the federal charges Balsas faces is making terroristic threats.
Balsas reportedly said he had explosives when he was near the bell. No explosives were found in a search of the site.
