FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — A 17-year-old male was pronounced dead Tuesday at the Flagstaff Medical Center after sledding accident.
The Tempe resident went to Flagstaff with 11 of his friends and two parents. On Monday, the group traveled to the Mountainaire area where they played in the snow.
The victim was on a plastic sled with another occupant behind him. For unknown reasons they lost control of the sled and hit a tree at significant velocity.
