TUCSON, Ariz. — Authorities in Tucson are looking for a missing man who suffers from advanced Alzheimer’s disease.
Police say 92-year-old Genaro Chavarria was reported missing at about 7:30 a.m. Tuesday. His family believes he left his home about 2 a.m.
Tucson police say the man has previously left his home alone after becoming confused and couldn’t remember how to get back.
In those cases, he was found walking in an area near his residence.
Authorities are asking for the public’s help, noting overnight temperatures dipped into the 30s, and they’re concerned for his well-being.
Chavarria is described as a Hispanic male, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds. He is balding with gray hair.
Police are asking anyone with information to call 911.
