A 16-year-old girl was killed Wednesday after being hit by a truck while crossing a Scottsdale street.
Another 16-year-old girl was injured. She was hospitalized and released.
The teenagers were at the intersection of Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard at Desert Cove Avenue, just north of Shea Boulevard, when the truck hit them.
The driver of the truck, a teenager, was uninjured. It is believed he did not see the girls.
Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard is closed in both directions at the scene.
Police do not believe speed was a factor and the driver was not impaired.
