PHOENIX — The state Board of Regents has given final approval for
construction of the University of Arizona Cancer Center-Phoenix outpatient
The regents on Thursday also approved a ground lease for nearly 2 acres from
the city at the Phoenix Biomedical Campus and a 20-year facility lease with St.
Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center/Dignity Health.
Construction on the $100 million cancer center will begin later this month. The
six-story, 230,000-square-foot clinic should be open to patients by early 2015.
