DOUGLAS, Ariz. — Federal authorities said a California man has been
arrested in southern Arizona, accused of having 66 pounds of liquid methamphetamine in his car’s gasoline tank.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials said Vasa Major, 41, applied
for entry at the Arizona border in Douglas.
They said the Campbell, Calif., resident was directed to a secondary inspection
area where officers noticed his gas tank appeared to have been modified.
A CBP narcotics detection dog confirmed the presence of drugs. After officers
removed the fuel tank, they reported finding nine containers of liquid meth.
They said the nearly 8 1/2 gallons of liquid meth has a street value of more than

immediately know Tuesday if Major had a lawyer.
