Phoenix police officer booked for allegedly assaulting wife

PEORIA, Ariz. (AP) — A Phoenix police officer has been arrested after he allegedly assaulted his wife in their Peoria home.
Peoria police say the officer, who has been with the Phoenix Police Department since 2002, was booked Friday into 4th Avenue Jail.
According to Peoria officers, the officer allegedly grabbed his wife’s forearm while they were arguing.
She suffered minor injuries.
Phoenix police say the officer is on administrative leave pending an investigation by Peoria police and any court proceedings.
