FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — Two men each are facing up to three life terms in
prison after a grand jury indicted them in the deaths of a couple on the Navajo
Authorities said Therron Crank and Gerallino Bedonie killed Vladimir and
Karlysha Hurley last month in Inscription House. They are charged with first-
and second-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
Crank’s attorney, David Barrow, said Thursday that the case is defensible and
both men could walk free.
Crank and Bedonie are accused in the indictment of fatally stabbing the Hurleys
and burying them in a shallow grave. They made initial appearances this week in
federal court in Flagstaff.
